Our workplace is evolving. Flexibility, comfort and choice are the paramount need of the workplace. Thrill work chair is designed for the dynamic nature of current workplace, where versatility and comfort is in focus. Thrill work chair family provides companies and users with countless customization options. 

Design of mid range work chair with mesh and cushion offering and their accompanying visitor chair.


My role as an Industrial designer in Godrej Interio was to work as a design lead and work on the revamping of their seating portfolio.  I worked on the project from the initial research till the final production out of the factory. Designed 29 chairs working closely with the design engineers and the factory shop to deliver upmost quality and fit feel finish.

Thrill Cushion Chair


Thrill cushion chair design revolves around comfort and elegance. Where it has a tapering back with clean upholstery line which is designed to provide comfort to user and provide ample clearance for hand movements. This tapering back makes the chair look dynamic, contemporary and gives a sense of comfort

Ideation


A moodboard was made that carried the desired attributes and that became the trigger for design ideas. Several design ideas were explored using rough sketches and few selected, were modeled in Blender for further refinement.

Prototyping Process


Prototyping was done at every stage of the project. This was done to validate the comfort of chairs and balancing the proportions. We leverage our inhouse prototyping team, to inculcate craftmanship in our designs from the early stages of design process.
